We are thrilled to announce a hugely-successful Christmas toy appeal which brought festive cheer youngsters from struggling families across Manchester and Salford.

Toys and gifts collected at our offices in Salford Quays were passed on to the Wood Street Mission along with cash donations totalling £850.

A letter of appreciation from Wood Street Mission fundraiser Sophie Bell showed just how special we helped to make Christmas for families across the region.

She wrote: “Thanks to your help, we were able to provide toys and gifts to nearly 4,000 children from struggling families in Manchester and Salford, which is just amazing.

“Financial donations like yours helped us to buy toys which we struggle to get enough donations of – particularly those for babies and toddlers and teenagers, so nobody missed out on a gift. We really couldn’t have done it without you.”

One mum who described the charity’s impact on her family underline just what a fantastic charity the Wood Street Mission is and what a difference it makes to people’s lives.

She wrote: I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for everything you have done for my family.

“I wouldn’t be the mum my children deserve if it wasn’t for the support I got from Wood Street. I came to collect toys for my kids in December and was overwhelmed with the generosity you showed me and my family. I spent the entire journey home crying as I couldn’t believe I was able to choose the things I knew my children would really love and appreciate.

“Thank you for everything you do and all the people who support you and enabled me and my kids to have an amazing time together this holiday.”

Our team at Infinity Asset Management along with colleagues at other businesses in the Infinity group of companies, including Beyond Residential and Buzz Property Maintenance, donated more than 100 items. Landlords of developments managed by Beyond Residential and tenants also contributed gifts and cash donations.

Infinity partner Sarah Butler said: “The response to our Christmas toy appeal was truly heart-warming and we are delighted to have been able to make such a positive difference to so many families in Greater Manchester.

“Wood Street Mission does tremendous work in our community. Sophie’s letter and the mother’s response show what a fantastic charity it is, and we are all so pleased to have made a contribution to this wonderful cause.”
